Understanding the Different Types of Boiler Installation Work

Different plumbing and heating companies tend to concentrate on certain types of work and certain types, makes and models of boilers depending on their local client base. For instance, if their clients tend to have 2 or 3-bed apartments then medium-sized combi boilers will be most common whereas if they service an area with lots of larger houses then they could deal with a lot more system boilers which work with large expensive mains water pressure hot water tanks. When is a straight swap not simple?

A “straight swap” is when an old boiler is replaced with the same type of boiler. With any “straight swap” there simplest job is if the pipes are all in the right place and all the right size. Sometimes gas pipes will need to increase in size. If they are not then an extra 1 to 3 hours of work is required which adds on roughly an extra £150 for parts and labour.
